The project for the three-dimensional survey of environments using photogrammetry

"READ - Real Estate Advisory Detection, a project in collaboration with QBT Sagl and the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) for the three-dimensional survey of environments using photogrammetry, is born.

The application of this technology will allow our technicians to conduct surveys using an innovative 3D reconstruction technology of environments and buildings using a simple smartphone.

The project sees its first practical application at Il Vittoriale degli Italiani, an initiative to digitally enhance the entire cultural heritage.

Technicians collected more than 200 images, taken with 360 cameras, of the Vittoriale's interior and exterior environments as well as 3D reconstructions of the rooms obtained with READ technology. These were supplemented by drone footage of the entire Vittoriale complex.

All the material collected was donated to the Vittoriale Foundation by the partners in the initiative.

The result of this study and data collection activity has made it possible to create a complete high-definition virtual reality tour of the Vittoriale as well as to have made available to the Foundation's technical offices precise 3D reconstructions and updated floor plans with reliable measurements, which are indispensable for the technical real estate survey of the building and the census of objects in the rooms."
