Italy towards a sustainable future

Italy is committed to a new ecological challenge with the aim of reducing CO2 emissions in the industrial sector.

With the "Transition 5.0" program, for the first time, technological innovation must be accompanied by a concrete reduction in energy consumption.

Companies that can demonstrate a reduction in consumption of 3% for the entire plant, or 5% for specific production processes, will be able to benefit from a variable tax credit based on the size of the investment and the degree of reduction in consumption , promoting the adoption of highly efficient technologies.

The method of calculating energy savings will be defined in detail in the next implementing decrees. However, the calculation is expected to be based on pre-investment consumption, taking into account variables such as production volumes and environmental conditions.

Transition 5.0 also provides an incentive for the implementation of renewable energy systems, particularly photovoltaic, which can benefit from additional incentives if produced in the EU and with high efficiency. This not only further reduces the environmental impact, but also supports sustainable local production.
